About The Position

R&R Engineers and Surveyors is expanding, and we’re looking for an experienced Survey CAD Technician who can take ownership of production work and keep projects moving with precision and speed. If you’re confident in your technical skills and want to work on a steady pipeline of land development projects using modern tools and workflows, this is a strong opportunity to step into a high-impact role.

Requirements

• Strong command of Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center
• Deep understanding of survey workflows, boundary principles, and coordinate systems
• Ability to work efficiently, catch issues early, and deliver reliable results
• Associate degree or technical certification in CAD, Surveying, or related field
• 2+ years of relevant experience (more is valued and reflected in compensation)

Nice To Haves

• Proven experience with point clouds, LiDAR, and/or photogrammetry (Pix4D or similar)

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality ALTA surveys, plats, easements, topographic surveys, and legal descriptions
• Turn raw field data into clean, accurate Civil 3D deliverables with minimal oversight
• Lead point cloud registration efforts and support LiDAR and drone data processing
• Prepare clear, client-ready exhibits for engineering and development teams
• Collaborate closely with surveyors and PMs to maintain momentum and meet deadlines
