About The Position

The Land Support Specialist for North Georgia Lakes is responsible for providing administrative support and customer service related to shoreline permitting and leasing programs. This role involves managing the Land Information Management System (LIMS) database, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and creating legal documents for customer access to lakes. The position requires a strong focus on customer service, data accuracy, and effective communication with stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of administrative support or paralegal experience.
  • Familiarity with real estate law and land records preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple assignments.
  • Background using technical applications, databases, and programs.
  • Proficiency with Customer Service System (CSS) and LIMS database preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Knowledge of financial programs such as Oracle and Maximo.
  • Auditing skills with a commitment to compliance and ethical behavior.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to write reports and prepare presentations.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Licensed Notary within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service related to shoreline permitting and leasing programs.
  • Manage the LIMS database for customer transactions and compliance issues.
  • Support operating activities for FERC compliance requirements.
  • Provide administrative support for parks and forestry operations.
  • Fulfill regulatory and compliance reporting requirements.
  • Create legal documents for shoreline leasing and licensing business.
  • Research and verify property ownership and ensure proper recording of documents.
  • Set up and manage lake lot accounts in CSS, including billing and collections.
  • Coordinate lease renewals and transfers, communicating with stakeholders.
  • Track sales data and property values for tax assessments and communicate with lease-holders.
  • Handle compliance activities related to revenue collection and delinquent accounts.
  • Support purchase requisition and supply chain management activities.
  • Perform invoice reconciliation and miscellaneous administrative duties.
