More information about the company can be found at www.gridunited.com The Position Grid United has numerous large scale transmissions projects underway and is currently identifying and studying additional prospective projects across North America. With patient capital backing led by experienced energy veterans, Grid United is in a fast-growth stage, boasting a purpose-built team of motivated and entrepreneurial talent. We are particularly focused on effective stakeholder engagement and positive involvement with the communities in the areas where we are working. This growing team is seeking to add a Land Specialist to execute tract-level ROW work—from owner outreach and survey permissions to offer preparation, negotiations, document routing, and records—consistent with Grid United’s ROW Policy Manual and JD template standards. You’ll collaborate daily with development, GIS, engineering, title vendors, and our field agents. This role will be Houston-based hybrid. Key Responsibilities & Outcomes Responsibilities Conduct owner outreach; secure survey permissions; prepare/route offers and options; coordinate closings and recording; maintain accurate tract files and contact notes. Order/track commitments, review requirements, and coordinate curative actions; escalate complex issues to senior team/counsel. Apply GU ROW Policy Manual, document control, and execution workflow (signature routing, recordation, file return). Follow GU Document Execution Process for signatures and recordation; ensure correct use of approved clauses and forms. Maintain tract diaries, status dashboards, and document links consistent with PMA/GIS data capture policy; contribute to weekly readiness and executive reporting. Communicate clearly, respectfully, and consistently; capture and relay micro-siting preferences; support community touchpoints as needed. Coordinate with engineering/environmental on access/LOD considerations and with development on schedule and spend dependencies. Demonstrate the Landowner-First method in every interaction; support meetings/open houses and manage sensitive negotiations with discretion. Outcomes Successful acquisition of ROW for critical transmission corridors. Resolution of title defects ensuring project readiness. Consistent compliance with GU standards and ethical practices.
