Requirements

High school diploma/GED required
Must have a valid IL driver's license
Must be willing to submit for and pass a background check and drug screen (marijuana results do not affect our hiring decisions)
1+ years of Automotive Service Technician experience in a dealership shop environment
Willingness to participate in in-house training
Ability to operate or learn to operate auto repair tool
Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Nice To Haves

Land Rover brand technical experience is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

Perform or assist in performing routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brakes, tire rotations, air conditioner re-charges, front-end alignments, battery installations, and headlight/taillight installations.
Maintain a working knowledge of current industry best practices in automotive repair
Assist in inspecting vehicles according to the state’s requirements for emissions and safety.
Conduct repairs and take vehicles for test drives (or accompany Journeymen technicians) to verify soundness.
Maintain legible and accurate paperwork for both the customer and for our records.
Attend and participate in company-provided, company-sponsored, and manufacturer trainings; work to achieve and maintain Land Rover Level 2 and higher certification
Utilize MyKaarma (multi-point inspection software)
Work to maintain acceptable CSI scores by keeping a customer-centric attitude towards the work you do
Clean and maintain the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety.
