About The Position

The Land Mobile Radio (LMR) Installer / Net Ops Specialist is responsible for the installation, management, and maintenance of LMR systems and their components. This role requires a deep understanding of LMR equipment capabilities, system configurations, and the ability to work with various software applications and operating systems. The Contractor will be trained and certified on the ACE LMR system and its subcomponents, ensuring that they are equipped to handle the complexities of LMR technology. The position demands extensive knowledge of Red Hat and Windows 2016 server environments, as well as proficiency in Cisco configuration files. A thorough understanding of Project (P)-25 trunking standards, including FIPS 140-2 P-25 Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) 256 and P-25 Common Air Interface, is essential. The Contractor will also need to demonstrate broad knowledge of the operation of fixed and transportable transmitters, receivers, transceivers, antennas, and digital narrowband radio trunking systems. Familiarity with amplitude and frequency modulation, as well as random frequency access for point-to-point communications, is also required. In addition to technical skills, the Contractor will be responsible for providing qualified personnel to perform necessary software security patches, updates, and password changes in accordance with AR 25-2. They will also maintain databases to track subscriber equipment used on the P-25 LMR system, including symphony dispatch consoles, desktop stations, mobile subscriber units, portable subscriber units, and digital vehicle repeater systems (DVRS) using Radio Personality Manager (RPM) or the latest programming software available. The Contractor will manage and maintain LMR equipment, systems, and management terminals and consoles, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of communication systems.
