About The Position
Detroit engineering firm is seeking a Land Development Project Engineer for their growing office!
Requirements
- Must be an engineer or designer with experience in land development projects, sustainable design, utility design, and stormwater management design
- 3+ years of design experience on land development projects
- Experience with K-12 site design preferred
- Familiarity with zoning ordinances/site plan approval processes
- Proficient in Civil 3D and Office 360 products
Nice To Haves
- Experience with K-12 site design preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead project team in preparation of project drawings, calculations, and specification
- Prepare engineering analysis, design, calculations, and reports
- Evaluate land use/zoning requirements
- Prepare permit applications, work through agency review processes, and obtain approvals
- Site visits during construction phase
- Work as part of team multi-discipline team
- Mentor/train junior staff
