About The Position

The Land Development Project Coordinator at D.R. Horton is responsible for the administration of assigned projects within the Land Development department. This role involves interfacing with vendors, subcontractors, internal customers, and the project team, ensuring effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
  • One to two years related experience and/or training
  • One or more years of proven purchasing/contract negotiation experience
  • General knowledge of construction and the components needed to develop raw land
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form or via DRH applications
  • Proficiency with MS Office and email.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred
  • J.D. Edwards experience a plus
  • Ability to multi-task and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Pre-qualify subcontractors and maintain subcontractor contact lists
  • Prepare bid packages including scopes of work and contract documents
  • Solicit, distribute, and evaluate subcontractor bids
  • Prepare and process master subcontract agreements, project-specific amendments, and change order requests
  • Process miscellaneous administrative tasks such as subcontractor submittals and RFIs
  • Coordinate with contractors and inspectors for project completion
  • Perform Accounts Payable related duties for Land Development items
  • Assist with various reports and budget tracking
  • Interact with area municipalities and utility contractors
  • Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase goodwill and profit.
