About The Position
LGI Homes is seeking a Land Development Manager in the Sacramento area. We are looking for land development professionals who are self-motivated and eager to dive into the LGI Homes system and culture. The Land Development Manager will play a crucial role in supporting multi-million-dollar development deals at LGI Homes through the development of residential lots and land. This position will involve soliciting, analyzing, and meeting with contractors for bids on all new development projects, as well as preparing and submitting contracts for execution. In this role, the Land Development Manager will be responsible for visiting development sites weekly and managing contractors through all stages of development to completion. This includes overseeing the building of parks, monuments, amenities, and landscaping. The manager will also perform final walks with local jurisdictions for street, water/sewer acceptance, and bond release, ensuring that all aspects of the development meet regulatory standards. Additionally, the Land Development Manager will work closely with dry utility companies to ensure that utilities are scheduled and monitored through to completion. Some travel may be required as needed to fulfill these responsibilities.
