NV5 is seeking a full-time Land Development EI for our Cary, NC office. The EI will provide engineering design assistance and review of commercial, residential, and/or institutional land development projects including municipal water/sewer/storm water design or relocation projects. The most frequent and essential work activities include:
Provide engineering and design of land development and utility projects. Coordinate work with project managers, engineers, and designers. Remain familiar with the review procedures and permitting processes of state and local public entities. Utilize CAD software (either AutoCAD/Land Development Desktop or MicroStation/GeoPak) to prepare drawings. Correspond with clients and permit reviewers (written and verbal) under the direction of the Project Manager. Ensure quality control procedures are implemented. Complete project tasks within deadlines and work within allotted project budgets.

Requirements

• BS degree in Civil Engineering
• 0 to 4 years of civil/site related work experience
• Passed the FE Exam
• Must be willing to travel on occasion
• Must possess or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license prior to employment-preferred

Nice To Haves

• EI certification a plus
• Basic Microsoft Office skills
• Knowledge of MicroStation/GeoPak or AutoCAD/Land Development Desktop a plus
