About The Position

The Land Development Coordinator at Forestar Group plays a crucial role in facilitating the land acquisition and development process. This position involves coordinating various departments, managing documentation, and ensuring timely communication throughout the development lifecycle. The coordinator will assist in budget tracking, vendor administration, and the management of contracts and surety bonds, contributing to the company's vision of being a leading residential lot developer.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or three to five years of related experience.
  • Two to three years of applicable real estate experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, particularly Excel, for building and maintaining reports and schedules.
  • Ability to follow instructions in written or oral form and apply common sense understanding.

Nice To Haves

  • Contract administration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the Pre-Acquisition process by tracking documentation and coordinating purchase and sales agreements.
  • Maintain bid spreadsheets and create standard contract forms for new contracts.
  • Assist in the preparation and communication of development operation budgets with development teams.
  • Coordinate the filing of soft and hard copy files with relevant departments.
  • Prepare LOC/Surety bond request forms and submit them to the appropriate departments.
  • Compile and maintain schedules and build reports to support team efforts.
