Crescent Energy is seeking multiple Land Data Analysts to join our Land Administration team. Level will be determined based on relevant qualifications and experience. The Land Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing, interpreting, and visualizing land-related data to provide actionable insights that support E&P operations and transactions. This role combines technical data skills with upstream Oil & Gas Land knowledge to improve decision-making, optimize workflows, and ensure accurate reporting across the organization. The Land Data Analyst works closely with Land Ops, GIS, Accounting, Operations, and IT teams to develop reporting tools, manage data quality, and deliver business intelligence solutions. This position reports to the Land Technology & Analytics Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, MIS, Energy Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of progressive experience in upstream Oil & Gas land data management, analytics, or data science.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or other programming languages for data analysis and automation.
  • Strong experience with BI and visualization platforms (Power BI, Tableau, Spotfire, etc.).
  • Knowledge of land agreements, lease provisions, and regulatory requirements in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Experience working with large data sets and land management systems (Quorum, Enverus, LandVantage, or similar).

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize land data reporting tools, dashboards, and visualizations (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Spotfire).
  • Leverage technology to build new Land workflows as business needs dictate and evolve.
  • Analyze leasehold, ownership, contract, and surface data to support strategic decisions and operational planning.
  • Partner with Land, GIS, and IT to ensure data integrity and alignment between tabular and spatial datasets.
  • Perform data validation, cleansing, and quality assurance to maintain accurate and reliable records in land management systems.
  • Provide analytics support for acquisitions, divestitures, and due diligence efforts.
  • Responsible for the onboarding of Land data related to acquired assets as well as providing data sets associated with divested assets within negotiated timelines.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within land data and communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with IT and Data teams to improve data architecture, system integration, and workflow automation.
  • Support compliance and regulatory reporting by providing accurate and timely data analysis.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality of data across multiple land management and enterprise systems.
