About The Position

The Land Acquisition Manager is responsible for identifying new land acquisition opportunities that align with the land strategy and business plan goals of the division. Requirements

  • 3+ years’ relevant experience in real estate development, construction, architecture, or engineering
  • 3+ years’ in residential land acquisition
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Earth and GIS mapping applications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Construction Management, Real Estate, or related field

Responsibilities

  • Identify land acquisition opportunities through networking and research.
  • Prepare Letters of Intent (LOI) for potential land opportunities.
  • Evaluate the potential financial feasibility of a project; collaborate with land development, strategic marketing, finance, and sales.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions for purchase and sale agreements, work closely with the in-house real estate legal team.
  • Create land package submittal for internal review and funding approval. Package to include market summary, competitive analysis, and financial projections.
  • Participate in the due diligence on land acquisition opportunities.
  • Assist in entitlement process; attend meetings with governmental officials, land owners, and engineers.
  • Review survey and title issues with acquisition team and lead resolution.
  • Negotiate and prepare amendments to existing land contracts as necessary.
  • Cultivate and grow network of land owners, brokers, municipalities, homebuilder and lot seller.
