About The Position
As a Land Acquisition Intern at KB Home, you will be part of a world-class homebuilding experience and will see first-hand how we identify and acquire land for future developments. You will learn strategies and processes for developing land acquisition sources, assist the Land Acquisition team in the preparation of financial proformas to determine the viability of proposed land acquisitions, and research and analyze consumer preferences for products. Post acquisition, you will maintain financial proformas to assess ways to enhance the performance of existing communities and report actual performance. Additionally, you will support the preparation of detailed Land Packages with relevant support data for submittal to the Corporate Land Committee to seek approval of real estate transactions. You will utilize various mapping applications and tools to source, research, and identify potential land acquisition opportunities that align with Market Strategy and Business Plan goals, perform analyses to determine appropriate offer prices for targeted land opportunities, and maintain a tracking log and land search map of viable tracts as well as a log of comparable transactions in surrounding areas.
