About The Position

The Four Seasons Resort Lāna'i is looking for a Lānaʻi Alakaʻi (Culture Carrier) who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. Our teams have the opportunity to shape our guest experience by providing exceptional knowledge of the Resort and exemplifying the Golden Rule in each interaction. Work authorization required.

Requirements

• Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States.
• Ability to accurately read and work with computer systems.
• Strong and demonstrated track record of Customer Service skills.
• 5+ years in the hospitality industry with well rounded Rooms, Pool & Beach, and F&B background.
• Must have facilitation, presentation, and training skills.
• Activities related Tour Guide experience.
• Supervisory or lead role experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Through your extensive knowledge of Lānaʻi's culture, traditions and Hawaiian ancestral arts, share with our guests Lānaʻi's unique sense-of-place.
• Engage in cultural training programs and be a consummate storyteller of significant places and events of Lānaʻi and the Hawaiian Islands.
• Lead cultural workshops and presentations in collaboration with the Love Lānaʻi Team.
• Serve as the ambassador of culture focused on the guest experience at points of arrival, in-stay, and departure delivering signature Lānaʻi elements of culture embedded in our service principles.
• Greet guests and establish connections.
• Assist with all Cultural & Activities related events as assigned.
• Offer and execute extraordinary cultural experiences.
• Participate and/or lead combined cultural programs place based with other entities on Island.
• Share with our internal guests the parallels between Four Seasons culture and Hawaiian culture.
• Be a liaison with our Director of Guest Experience, Director of Food & Beverage, Director of Rooms and Lānaʻi Planning Committee to create engaging cultural experiences.
