About The Position

Location: 5800 Cane Run Road, Louisville, KY 40258 Principle Accountabilities: Set-up board feeder, label loading section, label feeder section, glue applicator, sheet delivery rails/belts and sheet stacker in accordance with proper setup techniques. Ensure all adjusters on sheet laminator are in place and tightly secured. Inspect sheet laminator for damage, before and after each run. Check order line-up and select proper run. Lay mylar over label to determine die-cut lead edge and see print registration tolerances. Monitor sheet quality, including, but not limited to loose liner, warp, correct size, and print location. Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at optimum capacity and speed. Complete necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner, including but not limited to: Production Data, Machine Operational Status, Safety Data, Quality Data. Recommend needed repairs or concerns to the dept. supervisor so work orders can be processed. Be proactive in the crew preventive maintenance of equipment line and complete crew PM forms monthly and return to supervisor. Adheres to production schedule. Makes recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality and service goals. Reports any unusual scheduling issues to Supervisor. Work as part of a team in support of a manufacturing operation with a goal of increasing productivity;decreasing downtime and waste. Assume active role in overall plant and facilities-related work. Position requires assisting all jobson the plant floor. Follow all company safety rules and lock-out tag-out procedures. Maintain shop and shop equipment per 5S Standards. Other duties as assigned. May be required to stack parts up to 30 lbs. for a period of up to 12 hours.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED.
Ability and willingness to work overtime on short notice, both during the week and weekends.
Ability to work in manufacturing environment, with varying temperatures.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment.
6 months experience working on a Laminator machine.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple requests simultaneously.
Ability to work within a team and effectively communicate with members.
