About The Position

Brunswick is a global marine leader committed to challenging conventions and innovating next-generation technologies. The Lamination Technician performs a wide variety of fiberglass lamination tasks in the Resin Transfer Molding department, including mold preparation for gel coaters, removing fiberglass from molds, and transporting finished parts into the hole cut booth. This position requires lifting heavy objects multiple times a day and may also include gel coating, bracing, and various PI tasks. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints
  • Ability to read a tape measure
  • Ability to read and understand a production schedule
  • Ability to use a wide variety of hand tools, powered and manual
  • Ability to work in a hot and dusty environment, using protective clothing and respirator
  • Ability to pass a respirator fit test

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of 1 year of related boating building experience preferred
  • 3 years fiberglass lamination experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and adjust resin mixers and pumps.
  • Read production schedules and ensure parts are being completed and moved on to the next station in a timely manner.
  • Follow all safety standards and procedures, including chemical handling standards and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements (wearing respirators, gloves, chemical resistance aprons, and chemical resistant suits).
  • Perform a wide variety of fiberglass lamination tasks in the Resin Transfer Molding department.
  • Prepare molds for gel coaters.
  • Remove fiberglass from molds.
  • Transport finished parts into the hole cut booth.
  • Perform gel coating, bracing, and various PI tasks as required.
