About The Position

The Lamination Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Lamination operations and the Lamination employees. This position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department. It is a production-floor-focused role, requiring the supervisor to work side by side with the team.

Requirements

• 3-5 years experience working in a manufacturing setting in a strong leadership role.
• Experience working with plant machinery performing or supervising a PM schedule.
• Experience with Bills of Material and work orders.
• 5S and Lean Manufacturing certification preferred.
• Knowledge in Safety and OSHA requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with operating lamination equipment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring team members are following safety policies and processes, along with creating a safe work environment by following company policies and OSHA requirements.
• Meeting Satellite's high standard of quality, aiming to reduce rework and lower cost of scrap.
• Implementing operation efficiencies through 5S, process improvements, and lean manufacturing.
• Updating Gemba boards daily and managing team members by setting daily expectations and following through with accountability.
• Developing recommendations for cost savings.
• Managing line production schedule to ensure that product is supplied on time.
• Working with Purchasing to ensure proper supply of material.
• Overseeing Bills of Material.
• Understanding and following work orders.
• Utilizing company computer programs.
• Handling special projects and other duties as required.
