About The Position

Atlas Molded Products is seeking a Specialist/Utility Leader on 3rd Shift for the Grand Rapids, MI facility. The Specialist/Utility will be responsible for ensuring that production orders are completed in a timely manner while adhering to safety and quality standards. The candidate must be able to read a tape measure, be reliable, and pass a drug screen and background check.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a manufacturing / industrial environment preferred.
• Prior supervisory/lead experience preferred.
• Must be fluent in the English language, both written and spoken.
• Must be able to use simple math and use basic hand-held measuring tools.
• Must be computer literate; Excel, Word, Outlook, ERP systems.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct production personnel to ensure orders are produced in a timely fashion and adhere to safety and quality standards in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
• Must be able to work independently and lead employees within a small group to ensure production schedule and quality standards are met and report issues to supervisor.
• Operate and set up equipment in the Lamination Department.
• Perform various data collection functions in PeopleSoft (ERP).
• Maximize yield and reduce scrap.
• Report department metrics.
• Verify order information and produce part(s) with the correct material, density, weight, size, and/or shape within quality tolerance to meet customer specifications while meeting productivity standards.
