About The Position

The Lamination Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the lamination press to produce high-quality products. This role involves ensuring the lamination press functions properly, making necessary adjustments for production needs, and conducting quality checks throughout the process.

Requirements

  • Experience in machine operation, particularly in lamination presses.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Strong mechanical skills.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery.
  • Experience in production environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of quality control processes.
  • Experience with Gas Chromatography testing.
  • Understanding of the 7S standard.

Responsibilities

  • Clean machine and area before startup.
  • Review job card to determine any special laminating instructions, specifications, and quantity.
  • Prepare adhesive mixer and check the viscosity per order lot.
  • Change out additional machine parts as specified by the job card.
  • Pick up web roll from the staging area.
  • Cut sample film before lamination.
  • Load and thread web rolls through the machine.
  • Input parameters specific to the job card.
  • Place paper core in the rewinder.
  • Cut sample and take to quality lab for Gas Chromatography test.
  • Perform quality checks: test laminated film sample for thickness, print pitch, and lamination strength, and conduct visual inspection.
  • Unload rolls from the machine and stage for logistics after production is finished.
  • Maintain PMs on press and other equipment as needed using hand tools.
  • Change or replace all necessary parts before the next run.
  • Once a day, cut laminate sample and check volume for adhesive.
  • Complete production lot report and shift report.
  • Check adhesive consumption and report at the end of the day.
  • Maintain the 7S standard during your shift.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
