About The Position

More specific functions include but are not limited to: Reading job specifications and previous run data (if available) to determine machine adjustments and material requirements. Ensuring job and material is in order prior to machine set up. Performing set up and activation of the laminator. Loading and unloading roll stock. Mixing prescribed adhesives, catalysts and solvents to the proper working viscosity. Observing machine operation to detect defects or machine malfunction. Making corrections to alleviate out of specification product. Meeting or exceeding prescribed job standards for line speeds, scrap and set up times. Performing minor machine maintenance and reporting any necessary maintenance to the engineering department using a written work order. Working cooperatively with the Quality Assurance department to ensure the delivery of high-quality products. Completing required documentation and enters data into the computer database accurately and timely. Participating in on-going training opportunities and supports a continuous quality improvement environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Basic computer skills, required. Experience with web-based software and ERP systems required.
  • Basic math skills, required. Must pass the New Hire Base Assessment Test, which measures basic arithmetic and mechanical aptitude.
  • Able to operate basic tools and measuring devices (tape measure, scale, etc.).
  • Ability to read, write and speak in the English language to the extent necessary to effectively communicate and interpret instructions.
  • Operating experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • 12-hour shift work experience required.
  • Ability to frequently lift 50 lbs.
