Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Basic computer skills, required. Experience with web-based software and ERP systems required.
  • Basic math skills, required. Must pass the New Hire Base Assessment Test, which measures basic arithmetic and mechanical aptitude.
  • Able to operate basic tools and measuring devices (tape measure, scale, etc.).
  • Ability to read, write and speak in the English language to the extent necessary to effectively communicate and interpret instructions.
  • Operating experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • 12-hour shift work experience required.
  • Ability to frequently lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Reading job specifications and previous run data (if available) to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
  • Ensuring job and material is in order prior to machine set up.
  • Performing set up and activation of the laminator. Loading and unloading roll stock.
  • Mixing prescribed adhesives, catalysts and solvents to the proper working viscosity.
  • Observing machine operation to detect defects or machine malfunction.
  • Making corrections to alleviate out of specification product. Meeting or exceeding prescribed job standards for line speeds, scrap and set up times.
  • Performing minor machine maintenance and reporting any necessary maintenance to the engineering department using a written work order.
  • Working cooperatively with the Quality Assurance department to ensure the delivery of high-quality products.
  • Completing required documentation and enters data into the computer database accurately and timely.
  • Participating in on-going training opportunities and supports a continuous quality improvement environment.
