About The Position

The Lamination Assembler is responsible for the safe and timely execution of a variety of Lamination procedures such as roll coater lamination and assembly of decks, sound shell panels, and pre-lamination. Accountable for being self-motivated while producing high quality products at an efficient rate working in team environment. Expect a mix of physical activity and equipment use, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and carts to move materials and keep operations flowing.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess basic math skills.
  • Basic blueprint reading.
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure and convert decimal equivalents into inches.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret the English language.
  • Associate must have the ability to communicate internally and externally effectively and efficiently.
  • Ability to solve particular problems.
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Frequent use of hands that comes with the use of tools.
  • Agility of the upper and lower body extremities with the ability to reach, crouch, kneel, or stoop.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Capable of lifting 50 pounds without assistance.

Responsibilities

  • Cleans roll coater, board carrier, and water applicator at the start of each day.
  • Laminates decks, prelamination, Type 1 and 2 Sound Shells, panels, telescoping decks.
  • Assures all materials are correct color and size.
  • Sets up roll tables, pressures of presses, operates vacuum bag and hammers edging on decks.
  • Unloads prelamination materials and properly stacks all cull boards and platens.
  • Visually aligns carpet and fiberglass on plywood and particle board.
  • Visually aligns Formica sections and sound shells.
  • Maintains a clean workspace and practices that are safe and in compliance with company’s state and federal standards.
  • Reports all injuries, safety violations, incidents, or hazards to supervisor immediately.
  • Documents all work orders, scrap rework, unplanned issues, routings, labor, and down time.
  • Responsible and accountable for quality production at an efficient rate within a reasonable time frame upon assignment to any one of a variety of procedures.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as required.
