About The Position

The City of St. Peters is seeking a Lakeside Operations Supervisor to coordinate, organize, and supervise operations at 370 Lakeside Park. Under general direction, this role oversees park facilities, customers, and staff while ensuring safe, efficient, and enjoyable park operations. The position involves supervision, planning, program development, and direct participation in daily park activities. Normal Shift: Hours may include any day of the week, including weekends and holidays | Shifts between 6 AM – 11 PM

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or lawfully authorized alien worker
  • Associate of Arts Degree in Recreation or a related field and two (2) years of applicable experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years old
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Must be able to physically participate in park programs and activities
  • First Aid and CPR certification, or ability to obtain within sixty (60) days of employment

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coordinate, and actively participate in park activities, including campground operations, recreation programs, and special events
  • Assist in planning and implementing work schedules and managing operational budgets, including research and purchase of capital items
  • Support equipment and facility maintenance initiatives to ensure safe, functional park amenities
  • Direct on-the-job training for employees, including safety protocols, proper equipment use, and work methods, and oversee certification where required
  • Order materials and supplies, including inventory management for the campground store
  • Respond to customer and resident inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner
  • Plan and develop related recreation programs and book/staff facility rentals
  • Develop and update information in publications and promotional materials to advertise the park and its amenities
  • Serve as 370 Lakeside Park Manager-on-Duty as required
  • Make recommendations regarding hiring, termination, and staff development
  • Perform all work in compliance with City safety standards and complete other duties as assigned
