About The Position

Jacobs Entertainment is currently in search of “Dishwashers” for Lady Caroline. Lady Caroline offers a unique opportunity to experience “The Land” from the water, cruising Lake Erie and the Cuyahoga River while traveling under historic jackknife bridges and taking in the downtown Cleveland skyline. All regular lunch, brunch and dinner cruises include a freshly prepared buffet and entertainment, while themed events can include dockside happy hours, murder mystery productions, wine tastings and concession-based dining options. Lady Caroline is docked at the Flats West Bank in downtown Cleveland with convenient employee parking. This position is Seasonal Part-Time to December 2025.

Requirements

• Must be available nights, weekends, and holidays
• Basic Reading and Writing skills
• High School Diploma or Equivalent Work Experience
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours during shift
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Six months experience dishwashing and food preparation in a large volume food establishment helpful
• Identification that establishes identity
• Identification that establishes the right to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Cleans all back of the house areas, including kitchen, restaurant, food storage and trash handling areas
• Cleans china, glass, silverware, cooking equipment, utensils, pots, and pans
• Scrapes dishes, collecting and transporting waste and garbage
• Returns clean items to proper preparation area
• Cleans floor drains
• Follows sanitary and proper food handling procedures
• Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of your job
• Performs general weekly or monthly maintenance as deemed necessary by kitchen management
• Assists with back of the house supply and clean up as needed
• Maintain dish room and dish machine.
