About The Position

Basic Job Function: Provide friendly, attentive, and timely delivery of service on the Fitness Equipment Floor, Locker Rooms, Fitness Cafe and general guest and member areas as directed by Fitness Leadership. Create and forge relationships with guests, members, and staff which continues to promote the Sea Island legacy of warm genuine hospitality. Maintain & tend the Fitness Equipment Floor, Locker Rooms, Fitness Café replenishment of products, inventory of product, & report necessary maintenance to Fitness Supervisor and Leadership. Provide service in an efficient and courteous manner that is in accordance with Forbes 5 Star standards. To be attentive and responsive to guest needs. Uphold and assure compliance with all company and departmental policies, standards and procedures.

Requirements

  • Must be CPR and First Aid Certified and have familiarity with all Fitness Equipment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Understanding of Forbes Five Star Standards
  • Familiarization with fitness POS systems
  • Proficient with peripherals, copier, fax, telephone, computer, and calculator
  • Passionate about people and helping others
  • Exhibits a strong work ethic and willingness to be a great team player leading by example in a professional manner

  • Ability to kneel, crouch, squat, climb, stand, sit, balance, reach, bend, push, pull and walk for prolonged periods
  • Ability to use POS and phone systems
  • If applicable, must have the ability to work for extended time periods in an outdoor environment, including sun, heat, cold, wind, rain, and higher than normal noise levels
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy
  • Ability to lift, carry, pull and push up to 70 lbs repeatedly throughout a shift
  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
  • May be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical and fume hazards
  • No visible tattoos, visible body piercing or unnatural hair color or hairstyles per company grooming standards

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all cleaning and service standards of the Locker Room: station assignments, opening and closing side work duties, restroom and shower area cleanliness etc.
  • Follow Check List & TITB sheets for Fitness Floor Operations, Locker Room Policy & Procedures, and Fitness Café
  • Work in concert with Fitness Supervisor to provide the highest level of fitness experience for guests and members
  • Work with Fitness Leaders to order needed product & maintain quality of all product
  • Follow procedure of flow and supply of guest and member Fitness amenities in order to enhance the guest service experience
  • Maintaining current knowledge of Fitness amenity needs in all parts of the Fitness building
  • Willing and able to work in a team format
  • Assure completion of preparation work at the beginning of shifts
  • Assure completion of closing work at end of shifts
  • Communicate with Fitness Team & management to advise them of guest needs and requests
  • Act to promote a cordial and accommodating atmosphere for colleagues and guests
  • Follow procedure and cooperate with Leaders on Fitness service to achieve coordinated presentation of ammenities and guest services in locker rooms and Fitness Floor
  • Be responsible for hygiene, safety and sanitary conditions in accordance with state and local department authorities and Forbes Five Star standards
  • Assist in inventory of Fitness products
  • Learn the names and personally recognize our regular Guests and Members
  • Monitor guest and member satisfaction frequently and anticipates needs without requiring direction
  • Attend all scheduled meetings & training, required by leadership, department, and company
  • Must be able to manage guest relations with professionalism at all times
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of current guest services, activities, dining options, shops, local attractions, and historical information regarding Sea Island and the surrounding area to answer any questions guests may have to the best of one’s ability
  • If applicable, complete a Guest Problem Resolutions (GPR) form on any issues (solved or unsolved issues) and follow-up on issues as needed (if computer access is not available give information to admin support)
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization in all work areas
  • Uphold appropriate departmental standards of quality/timing
  • Uphold and ensure compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures
  • Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues, known safety hazards, or unsafe practices and procedures to supervisor immediately
  • Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement
  • Willing and timely execution of other duties as delegated by leadership
