About The Position
Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the breastfeeding mother's attainment of her individual goals. Functions as a member of the inter-professional healthcare team as a consultant, educator, and mentor to nurses, healthcare professionals, and patients.
Requirements
- Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and at least one year experience as breastfeeding counselor.
- Certified as Lactation Consultant by International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners.
- Licensure required as a Registered Nurse by the State of New Jersey.
- Requires skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment, attention to detail and problem resolution.
