About The Position
Provides professional nursing care to an assigned patient population. Provides nursing leadership for coordination of care given with interdisciplinary team members to facilitate the patient along the continuum.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited, state-approved, school of nursing.
- Current MS RN license or temporary permit for same (valid for 90 days only) or Compact License.
- Eligible for or currently certified by IBCLC. If not IBCLC certified must obtain certification at first opportunity after the required 1000 hours in lactation assistance have been achieved or 2 years.
- One-year clinical experience in a hospital as an RN with experience in breastfeeding education.
- Standard nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to interpret physicians' instructions.
- Use and operation of equipment and instruments used in patient care.
Nice To Haves
- Two years in lactation assistance.
- Ability to use Microsoft Applications.
