About The Position

The Lactation Consultant I provides clinical care, support and education to breast feeding mothers and their babies. The Lactation Consultant shall also provide consultative support and education to nursing, medical staff, and community breast feeding support groups.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse Required
• International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant Required within 1 Year of Hire
• Graduate Nursing Required or College Courses Nursing Required with Required Licensure/Certification
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred
• 2 Years Clinical Experience in Breastfeeding Required
• Experience in Education, Teaching and Facilitation of Learning Required

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care and support to breastfeeding mothers and their babies.
• Educate mothers on breastfeeding techniques and practices.
• Offer consultative support to nursing and medical staff.
• Provide education to community breastfeeding support groups.
