About The Position

The Lactation Consultant - Certified RN at Brockton Hospital is responsible for the planning and development of the in and outpatient Lactation Management Service. This role involves collaboration with the nurse manager and lactation resource nurses to ensure effective information management and dissemination to patients and medical/nursing personnel. The consultant will apply new knowledge to provide direct patient care for nursing staff and other health disciplines.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification by the International Board Certification in Lactation Consulting (IBCLC) required.
• Graduate of an approved school of nursing with current licensure to practice as a registered nurse in Massachusetts required.
• One to two years experience in lactation consultation required.
• Supervisory and/or teaching experience with demonstrated interpersonal skills, clinical expertise and professional creativity required.

Responsibilities
