About The Position

The Lab Technician position at ATI involves metallographic preparation of materials, which is essential for evaluating their properties. Responsibilities

• Mount the material by securing the sample in the appropriate mounting material
• Grind the mounted sample to create a flat and even surface
• Polish the sample by removing deep scratches
• Apply appropriate etching solution to the surface of the sample
• Assist in routine laboratory operations and perform other routine laboratory work as directed
• Perform routine mechanical servicing and minor repairs of testing equipment
• Maintain work areas in clean, safe, and orderly condition
• Generate high-quality testing data for certification, including sample preparation, following written procedures, testing, validating, and reporting test results, and recording data into the laboratory information management system (LIMS)
