The North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) is seeking a dedicated Laborer to join our team in Plano, TX. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the safety and appearance of NTTA's roadways and associated components. The Laborer will be responsible for a variety of tasks including removing litter and debris, performing turf maintenance, conducting erosion repairs, and executing minor construction projects. The successful candidate will operate various types of equipment such as mowers, light and medium-duty trucks, forklifts, and loaders to accomplish these tasks. Additionally, the Laborer will assist with inspections and preventative maintenance activities, respond to emergencies, and contribute to special projects as assigned. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of NTTA's infrastructure, especially during emergencies or inclement weather, as it is classified as a safety-sensitive position and an essential employee role. The Laborer will be expected to work in various weather conditions and may be required to work up to 12-hour shifts during emergency operations. The position requires a commitment to safety and adherence to NTTA's operational standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, the ability to work as part of a team, and a willingness to learn and adapt to the demands of the job. This is a full-time position with a starting pay of $18.00 per hour, along with a $2,000 retention bonus for new hires.
