About The Position

Tessera is seeking a dependable and hardworking Laborer to support the Base Maintenance Contract at USAFA. This role is essential to maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness of the installation. The Laborer performs a variety of manual tasks including material handling, refuse collection, snow removal, and general facility support.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of general labor or maintenance experience preferred
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools and manual labor techniques
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
  • Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or an acceptable alternative, such as a U.S. passport or military ID, in accordance with the REAL ID Act. Please visit this website for more information: https://www.dhs.gov/real-id .
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
  • A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Load/unload trucks and move materials using hand tools
  • Organize supplies for storage and binning
  • Collect refuse and clean culverts, ditches, roofs, and gutters
  • Perform earthwork, shovel snow/concrete, and spread deicer
  • Move heavy furniture, appliances, and equipment
  • Clean work areas and dispose of trash and debris
  • Assist with event setup and removal of packing materials
  • Support minor repairs and road patching
  • Maintain professional appearance and conduct across the installation
