About The Position

Tessera is seeking a dependable and hardworking Laborer to support the Base Maintenance Contract at USAFA. This role is essential to maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness of the installation. The Laborer performs a variety of manual tasks including material handling, refuse collection, snow removal, and general facility support.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of general labor or maintenance experience preferred
Familiarity with basic hand tools and manual labor techniques
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.

Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.

Responsibilities

Load/unload trucks and move materials using hand tools
Organize supplies for storage and binning
Collect refuse and clean culverts, ditches, roofs, and gutters
Perform earthwork, shovel snow/concrete, and spread deicer
Move heavy furniture, appliances, and equipment
Clean work areas and dispose of trash and debris
Assist with event setup and removal of packing materials
Support minor repairs and road patching
Maintain professional appearance and conduct across the installation
