About The Position
We’re seeking a reliable and safety-focused Laborer / Serviceman to support maintenance and production activities across our plant. This entry-level role is critical to keeping operations running efficiently through hands-on work, cleanup, and maintenance tasks.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Four years of general plant experience or six years of cement plant experience if joining from outside the company.
- Proficiency in control systems and computer applications
- Strong communication skills
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to read diagrams
- Mathematical ability related to production measurements
- Strong decision-making and safety awareness.
Responsibilities
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety rules, wear PPE, and report equipment or safety concerns.
- Physical Tasks: Perform trenching, digging, backfilling, shoveling, sweeping, and cleanup work.
- Facility Support: Assist with maintenance work, concrete form building, painting, and general housekeeping.
- Equipment Maintenance: Lubricate and oil equipment; support maintenance teams and respond to callouts.
- Training & Participation: Attend meetings and training sessions. Support other classifications and plant outage work.
- Additional Duties: Complete any tasks assigned by management to support plant operations.
