About The Position
LABORER Thames Shipyard and Repair is looking for a reliable, hard working laborer to work at one of the largest commercial ship repair facilities between New York and Boston. Willing to train the right person. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm Saturday 7:30am-12:00pm Overtime available Monday-Saturday Double time available Sunday
Requirements
- Pre-employment drug test
- Respirator fit test and physical
- Willing and able to work outside year round and in all weather conditions
Responsibilities
- Cleaning
- Painting with brush, roller and spraying
- Sandblasting
- Working from scissor and boom lifts
- Working in confined spaces with limited access through eighteen inch hatch
- Climbing ladders
- Heavy lifting
