We are currently seeking dependable, safety-focused Laborer to join our team at our Valparaiso, IN location.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
• Physical ability to climb, bend, and stoop as needed for daily tasks.
• Clean driving record that meets insurability standards.
• Proficiency in reading and writing English with legible handwriting.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to workplace safety.
• Requirement: must provide own safety-approved boots.

Nice To Haves

• Expereince operating a skid steer or forklift is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute general labor tasks, including site maintenance (sweeping, shoveling, mowing) and material handling.
• Strictly adhere to all Smith Ready Mix, Inc and OSHA safety regulations, ensuring consistent use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Maintain a high standard of safety excellence in all operations.
• Complete additional operational tasks as directed by management.
