Primary duties involve unloading, loading and processing drums of waste materials from trucks. Must be able to operate a computer. Operate light and heavy equipment including, but not limited to: pumps, heavy equipment, bobcats, etc., Works in atmospheres with the potential for exposure to the elements and various chemical and physical agents, some of which may be hazardous, toxic or corrosive.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
  • Reworld offers GED Works – a fully funded program for employees to achieve their GED.
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must have basic computer skills, good written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds
  • Kneeling, crawling, stooping, bending or twisting for extended periods of time
  • Walking and/or standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time
  • Walking on elevated platforms or scaffolding

Responsibilities

  • Safety – you are expected to follow all established safety guidelines
  • Unloading Trucks – involves using forklifts, pallet jacks and drum carts
  • Managing paperwork for completeness and accuracy – involves using company waste tracking program
  • QA/QC / Staging – requires you to open waste drum to ensure material matches approved profile and is able to be staged for processing
  • Processing Materials – involves using forklifts, industrial shredder & heavy equipment to process the material per approved outbound profile for final disposal
