Requirements

  • Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools
  • Must be able to climb ladders, push/pull carts, cables and other equipment
  • Ability to get to work on time, daily
  • Ability to work outside year-round (if required)
  • Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs, occasionally
  • Physically able to push, pull, lift, bend, climb, kneel, twist, squat, crawl and use hands/forearms repetitively and frequently
  • Ability to move around for up to 12 hours per day
  • Ability to work from ladders, scaffolding, swing stages and man lifts at various heights frequently

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working as a laborer preferred
  • Concrete finishing a plus, but not required
  • Ability to read blueprints and a tape measure preferred

Responsibilities

  • Stripping forms by pulling finished cured goods from forms and loading onto trailer
  • Cleaning forms after product is removed using a scraper, steel wool, shovels, sanders, solvents, etc.
  • Setting up forms for pouring, including cutting and placing rebar, pulling or stressing rebar strand, tying mesh, and installing imbeds (including plates, vectors and core walls)
  • Pouring concrete, including placing, raking, shoveling concrete
  • Finishing concrete using various tools/methods such as smooth float, steel trowel, brooming, raking and power trowels to achieve a desired finish
  • Performing plant cleanup/housekeeping including putting away tools, sweeping debris and cleaning cluttered areas
  • Adhering to safety standards
  • Operating machinery
  • Operating overhead cranes
  • Operating a fork-lift
  • Driving truck, trailer, tractor and/or Tucker
