About The Position

As an expanding company, R.R. Cassidy is looking for a Laborer who is experienced, self-motivated, able to work and adapt in fast-paced environments, and willing to embrace the challenges of working with evolving tasks and structures. Candidates must be willing to travel throughout the Southeast United States 80%-100% of the time. Applicants must also be willing to drive to our Prairieville location for 1 week of training and before the start of each hitch. Hotels and travel expenses are paid for by the Company while gone on a job. Meals are covered by $50/day per diem. Transportation methods are provided by the company leaving from the Prairieville, LA location. A Class A, B, or D license is required for this position.

Requirements

• Previous experience in construction, civil, or foundation work preferred
• Strong work ethic and a commitment to safety
• Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions
• Willingness and ability to travel for extended periods
• Physical stamina to lift heavy materials and perform repetitive labor tasks
• Clear communication skills and the ability to take directions from supervisors and crew leaders
• Team-oriented mindset and willingness to help where needed
• Familiarity with basic tools and construction equipment
• Valid Class A, B or d driver’s license required; Class A or B preferred
• Must be eligible to work in the United States
• Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test

Responsibilities

• Serves as general project laborer
• Assists in loading and unloading trucks
• Responsible for housekeeping-related tasks for the equipment, facility, tools, and jobsite
• Cleans up and assists superintendent with securing jobsite at end of day
• Works as spotter for equipment operators to ensure safe operation of machinery
• Provides general assistance as requested to operators, foremen, leadmen and Superintendents
• Serves as general support to project teams
• Actively identifies and proactively addresses safety concerns and communicates to appropriate team members
• Comply with all DOT regulations and reporting requirements related to CDL status (if applicable)
