About The Position

About Us: Southwest Mobile Storage specializes in modifying storage containers for sale or lease. We take pride in our ability to provide high-quality, customized portable storage solutions while delivering outstanding customer service. We are seeking a reliable, self-motivated General Laborer to join our hardworking shop team, where communication and teamwork thrive. As a General Laborer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our portable storage containers to ensure they are in top condition and ready for customer use.

Requirements

0-2 years of experience in general labor or maintenance repairs.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Familiarity with basic hand and power tools (grinders, saws, etc.).
Reliable, self-disciplined, and able to work with minimal supervision.
Strong communication skills and ability to interact with teammates effectively.

Nice To Haves

Welding experience and/or 25T Forklift certification is a plus!!

Responsibilities

Refurbish containers and offices, including cleaning exteriors and interiors, rust removal, floor repairs, and maintenance tasks.
Use powered hand tools, including grinders and paint machines, for various refurbishment tasks.
Perform light carpentry, including digging, cutting, caulking, and assembly of equipment for rental purposes.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Complete necessary paperwork and documentation in English.
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
Follow safety protocols while using equipment and performing physical tasks.
Additional job duties as assigned by management.
