POSITION PURPOSE/MISSION: Sort, separate, and clean up scrap metal. Run the bailing and shearing machines as needed. Weigh small scrap metal orders as needed. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Constant standing. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to meet the physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation, as provided in detail in the Job Analysis Database. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Ability to work well with other employees. Ability to follow instructions. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with different types of scrap metal. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES: Sort, separate, and clean up scrap metal in the yard. Run the bailing and shearing machines using metal and cardboard. Weigh small scrap orders for customers. Ensure a safe work environment and contribute to a highly engaging culture that fosters safety, continuous improvement, teamwork, and trust.
