About The Position

The incumbent is responsible for general grounds maintenance and upkeep of all areas including the exterior of buildings and roadways. This position involves performing tasks that require mainly physical abilities and effort, involving little or no specialized skill or prior work experience.

Requirements

• Must obtain and maintain required explosives certifications when assigned to ordnance operations.
• Must meet and maintain company physical and security requirements, including respirator qualification, and clearance eligibility when required.
• Must possess good communication skills for a service team environment.
• Valid state driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.
• U.S. Citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads trucks and other conveyances.
• Moves supplies and materials to proper location by wheelbarrows or hand trucks.
• Stacks materials for storage or binning.
• Collects refuse and salvageable materials.
• Digs, fills, and tamps earth excavations.
• Levels ground using pick, shovel, tamper and rake.
• Shovels concrete and snow.
• Cleans culverts and ditches.
• Cuts trees and brush.
• Operates power lawnmowers.
• Cleans gutters and roofs.
• Removes carpet and vinyl flooring.
• May be assigned as flagger or fire watch, if trained and certified.
• Moves and arranges heavy pieces of material, furniture, equipment, and appliances.
• Spreads sand and deicer on icy roads and walkways.
• Picks up leaves and trash.
• May assist in the spill response team.
• May be required to obtain and maintain asbestos certification for the purpose of removing asbestos.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
