Laborer / Plastic Tote Welder
About The Position
As a Plastic Repair Technician, you will repair and restore plastic containers such as totes and drums used in production operations. Excellent opportunities available for growth/advancement! Key responsibilities include: · Inspect plastic totes and containers to identify damage · Repair containers using plastic welding equipment and repair tools · Patch, weld, and reshape plastic components to restore structural integrity · Follow work instructions and production guidelines · Maintain welding tools and all equipment for repairing totes · Use tablets and Excel spreadsheets to record completed repairs and materials used · Maintain a clean and organized work area · Work with production and quality teams to ensure repaired containers meet safety and quality standards
Requirements
- Experience with welding, plastic repair, or similar hands-on work preferred
- Willingness to learn plastic welding techniques and repair processes
- Ability to use hand tools and shop equipment safely
- Computer knowledge; ability to use tablets and Excel spreadsheets
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify damage or defects
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to lift 50–75 pounds
- Ability to work in a production environment around machinery and equipment
- Team-oriented and dependable
