About The Position

The Tepa Companies are seeking a Laborer 1 to perform tasks involving physical labor at building, highway, petroleum system, and heavy construction projects, excavation, and demolition sites. The Laborer may operate a variety of equipment and instruments, in a variety of environmental settings.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED
Must have physical dexterity
Must be able to follow verbal directions
Must be able to identify and stop unsafe work practices around jobsites that present imminent danger to others
Must be able to identify and find different jobsite building materials, tools, and equipment in order to follow directions given by supervisor
Must be willing to travel
Must be able to pass a background check required to access US military installations
Must have a valid driver’s license
This position may require, now or in the future, a Commercial Driver's License

Some equipment inspection and operation experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

Load, transport, unload, and furnish project sites with materials, equipment, tools, and supplies.
Maintain a clean work area and restock supplies and materials as necessary.
Climb ladders and scaffolding, and lift materials.
Use hand and power tools for disassembly/assembly of system components.
Use manual and powered excavation tools/equipment.
Follow safe working procedures.
Clean and prepare job sites to eliminate possible hazards.
Perform other routine duties as directed by Foreman, Superintendents, and other supervisory personnel.
