About The Position

Job Summary: As a hazardous materials removal worker at our organization, you will have an indispensable role on your demolition and decontamination team. You will work at industrial, commercial and residential properties to get rid of any presence of asbestos or other dangerous materials. Requirements

  • Previous experience working with hazardous materials.
  • Knowledge of how to use various power tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be willing to travel 3-5 days per week (Mon-Fri). Lodging paid and daily per diem.
  • Must have valid drivers license and dependable vehicle.
  • Pre-employment drug and background screening required.

Nice To Haves

  • Training in demolition, construction and shoring safety.
  • Previous demolition or construction experience.
  • Industrial truck training.
  • Aerial lift and industrial lift training.

Responsibilities

  • Aid with demolition or renovation.
  • Remove substances, such as lead and asbestos, from a building using a variety of tools, which can include high pressure sprayers, vacuums and scrapers
  • Clean the contaminated area thoroughly to ensure a trace of the substance is not left behind, which typically entails using steam cleaners and filter pumps
  • Clean the equipment after it has been used on a worksite by using the proper solvents and chemicals
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by site supervisor, or other management.
