Maintenance laborers have an in depth knowledge of maintenance procedures, hydraulic systems and basic tools and appliances. To excel in this position, candidate must be a problem solver with strong communication and organization skills.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or GED
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, blue prints, assembly drawing, schematics and other written or verbal instructions presented in English.
- Ability to read English and Metric tape measures and use measuring devices.
- Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards.
- Ability to recognize quality expected and be able to reproduce it.
- Attention to detail
- Strong work ethic; Be a team player
- Must be able to climb, twist, bend and stoop.
Responsibilities
- Confers with liaison personnel to determine assembly priorities
- Works from manuals and written/verbal instructions
- Responsible for janitorial duties in facility and office space
- Reads electrical prints
- Maintenance and repair of toilets/urinals and sinks
- Repairs and tests hands tools (electric and pneumatic)
- Drive forklift and manual lifts
- Performs repairs, inspections and makes adjustment to shop equipment
- Read and follow detailed operator instructions, installation drawings and blue prints, as required
- Performs other work as assigned
