About The Position

Performs semi‐skilled maintenance of the City’s facilities and grounds and provides landscaping services.

Requirements

• Familiarity with City and OSHA safety requirements.
• Knowledge of MSDS for each chemical used.
• Use of proper safety equipment when performing tasks.
• Knowledge of correctly using the following equipment: weed eater, riding lawn mower, push mower, hedge trimmer, and chain saw.
• Ability to operate safely necessary equipment, including weed eaters, lawn mowers, hedge trimmers, and chain saws.
• Ability to back up trailers and drive water trucks.
• Ability to use and wear all required personal protective equipment.
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions and be exposed to outside elements and objectionable materials.
• Must possess a current valid Arizona Driver’s License when hired.
• You must be 18 to operate the equipment necessary to perform the job.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine maintenance, including cleaning, mowing, and weed eating at park areas and other City‐owned facilities and properties.
• Performs setup and take down for special events.
• Performs other related duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
