About The Position

Louisiana Bridge Builders (“LBB”) is designing and building the new I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge in Lake Charles, Louisiana (USA) for the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD). LBB will also be responsible for the reconstruction of interstate highway, various structures, ramps, and approaches for a 5.5 mile stretch between I-210 West End and Ryan Street. POSITION PURPOSE/SUMMARY The Laborer I is committed to supporting Louisiana Bridge Builders by performing general physical labor on Project site including but not limited to loading/unloading materials, site cleanup, and assisting skilled trades.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1)+ years of construction labor/helper experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and prepare construction project site by removing debris and possible hazards.
  • Lubricate and clean machinery, equipment, and tools.
  • Load or unload materials to be used during construction.
  • Erect and disassemble temporary structures.
  • Dig trenches, backfill holes, or compact earth to prepare for construction.
  • Operate power tools and hand tools.
  • Assist skilled trades, such as electricians and carpenters, with their duties.
  • Perform all tasks efficiently and safely.
  • Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
