This person in this position is responsible for assisting the Laborer II and III in the general maintenance and cleaning in an assigned city department or area. Duties include assisting in the routine and regular cleaning sanitizing, sweeping, mopping and vacuuming of floors and making minor equipment and facility repairs. Public Services department laborers are responsible for the maintenance of City roads, streets, and other areas of designated right of way. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Downtown Services: Performs routine janitorial and custodial duties primarily at City Hall, the Community Development Annex, Welcome Center, Courthouse Square, Cedar Mountain, and other City facilities, with occasional support at the Conference Center as operational needs require. Performs cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, wiping tables and surfaces, cleaning interior windows, mirrors, and restrooms, emptying trash and recycling, and restocking paper towels, toilet paper, soap, and related supplies. Monitors interior and exterior areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and security. Reports on maintenance, repair, or safety issues to appropriate staff or supervisors. Conducts routine facility inspections, including restroom checks and supply replenishment, to maintain buildings in accordance with established standards. Provides operational support to Laborer II and III staff and supervisors as assigned. Performs other related duties as assigned.
