About The Position

What you will be doing This position is responsible for assisting in the safe and efficient handling of all barge cleaning, truck transfer operations and maintenance of the facility.

Requirements

• Proficient reading, math, language, and mechanical skills.
• Ability to work overtime as required.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• Minimum of 2 years industry experience preferred.
• Knowledge of chemical compatibility and solubility for line and tank cleaning preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all aspects of barge cleaning, such as, but not limited to stripping, ventilation, rust removal, tank mucking, flaring, degassing and tank entry.
• Assist in all phases of shore tank preparation such as, but not limited to tank cleaning, water separation, product transfer, truck transfer, gauging and any other work task required when working around storage tanks.
• Assist with all barge pre-inspections, pre-rigging and tank entries. Also work in conjunction with Marine Chemist when a gas-free certificate is required for hot work.
• Perform any maintenance required of facility such as, but not limited to mowing of grass, edging, digging, picking up of trash, painting and any other work task delegated by SBS Operation Supervisor.
• Assist in all phases of drumming such as, but not limited to product, rust, waste, pads and any other items requiring drumming.
