About The Position

An employee in this class assists higher level employees in a variety of routine and repetitive manual tasks. Any problem or situation encountered that is out of the ordinary is referred to a supervisor.

Requirements

• Ability to lift moderate to heavy weigh (80-100 pounds), stand, walk, run, bend, stoop, push ,pull, reach, climb ladders and work on scaffolding, for extended periods of time.
• Ability and physical strength sufficient to move heavy objects.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Must be able to obtain a CDL permit within 6 months and CDL license within 1 year of hire
• High school diploma
• Some experience performing manual tasks preferred

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads materials, equipment, or supplies.
• Transports materials to work or school sites.
• Picks up trash.
• Digs holes, ditches, or trenches.
• Cleans work area after repairs or installations.
• Uses power washer to clean buildings or walkways.
• Cleans gutters.
• Moves furniture.
• Performs other duties as specified by Maintenance Director or Maintenance Supervisor.
